Every year Matt, Sean and Coop set themselves a summertime goal. This year it is to see a real, live, naked girl. As they start their mission impossible, Matt has other challenges, like the fact he volunteered to swim the 100 yard butterfly, to impress the new girl Kelly west at their swim club, and he has no clue how he’s going to manage.
OK, I loved the book, it was so funny. I liked Matt, the story was good. But here’s the sticking point for me. They measured it in yards, and laps, I spent ages working out how for that was, and I’m still not sure. As a swim fanatic myself, in the club that I go to, and all the races I’ve been to, they measure it in metres. So I found it harder to relate to this, even though I love swimming.
I know how hard butterfly is, and I could so relate to that part of it. I often feel like a drowning cat, but not to the extent that Matt does. I’m still not sure how far it was, but if it was the 200 metre, then I pity him. So over all I loved the book, it was funny, and I really liked Matt.
I give this book 8/10 Because, I know it sounds weird, but, the terminology, like the yard and all that, I can’t help it, but I couldn’t get that. I loved the book, and I would recommend it.
